Manicure Monday: Green for St. Patrick's Day

Decided to go green for St. Patrick's Day since well, I am technically Irish.  Too bad my accent nail was blue.

For this week's Manicure Monday, I decided to test out the Seventeen Nail Stash that she received for Christmas. She allowed me to try them out so here I am swatching them for you :D

Seventeen's Quicker Slicker in Peacock

Seventeen's Quicker Slicker in Navy Glint as the accent nail

Here is a close-up of both nail polish colours.

Both nail polish really gives a very gorgeous colour! But I somehow expected Peacock to be darker when swatched in my nails but it's really not that big of a deal.

I hope everyone has a good St. Patrick's Day.  I did not go to the parade since it was so cold. We went over to our family friend's house and had dinner there instead.  Have a good week ahead!

White Day 2014 at Dublin's Oya Cafe

So my sisters and I decided to have coffee at this small cafe called Oya Cafe for White Day this year.  It is located in Richmond Street, Dublin 2.

So this is what the counter looks like.

With my "sister".

The place looks really cosy with enough chairs and sofas for customers.

Matcha Green Tea Latte: The real reason why we came to this cafe. It was my first time having such a thing and it was PERFECT! I did not even have to use the packet of sugar they gave me!

Caramel Spongecake: It was really good! The caramel was not too sweet and the cake was really soft.

Chocolate cake: It was reall good!

The price of the place is very affordable.  They have a bunch of offers written in the chalkboard however the Matcha latte was not part of any offers since it cost € 3.  The cakes are at € 2.56 each which is not bad.

The overall experience of this cafe was GREAT!  I really love how small and cosy it is! Plus it is quiet unlike your mainstream coffee houses like Starbucks. Most of the time, we had the cafe to all ourselves.  The place is also clean even their toilets!  Seriously, the toilets in Starbucks (both in Westmoreland Street) are filthy!  Management should do something about it really.

I really recommend this place!

Manicure Monday: Avon's Apricot Mystery and Freezing

For this week's Manicure Monday, I decided to go the peachy nail polish look since Spring has finally approached Ireland!

The two polishes that I am featuring this week

  • Avon's Nailwear Pro in Apricot Mystery
    • PRO
      • Price - Price is between € 6-8. I only buy these nail polishes whenever Avon has them on sale.
      • Colour - The colour is GORGEOUS! Perfect for spring and summer.
    • CON
      • Discontinued - I have a feeling that this colour has already been discontinued as I can't see it in their online brochures.
      • Not available in Ireland - Another con to this it that Avon is no longer available in Ireland. I think it's already been a year?
      • Streaky- It does streak A LOT! I recommend that you dry the first coat first before applying a second coat.
      • Does not dry quick - It takes quite some time for this product to dry and for a girl like me who is impatient, it's a big NO-NO

  • Avon's Color Trend Colour Me Pretty in Freezing
    • PRO
      • Price - Very affordable. Costs around € 2.50
      • Colour - I think it is pretty. It's a frosted pink that is leaning towards the brown shade.
      • Dries quick
      • Does not streak
    • CON
      • Not available in Ireland
      • Discontinued

What do you guys on your nails? Comment the link to your blog so I can check it out. And please support my blog following me here :D
Have a good week y'all~

To God be the Glory

Yesterday, our exam results finally came out! I really wanna thank God for saving me and letting me pass all of my modules! I did not do that well on my actual written exam but my assessments made up for it. I could not be any happier.

And today, I received a call saying if I could start working as a Data Input Clerk. It really broke my heart how I had to turn the job offer down since they wanted me to work full time. I am a full time student and my studies are on the top of my priority list.  God has His reasons and maybe that job and I were just not meant to be. Mom told me to just keep the prayers up. I guess it's a little less of me and a LOT more of HIM.
