Goodbye 2015, hello 2016!

Hello beautiful earthlings!

It's been a while since I last posted something, I know.Life got so hectic lately with me having to find an employer for my 6 month internship as part of college, trying to pass my modules and still do good at work.  I still am looking for an employer to hire me for my internship that can allow me to keep my other job to keep me financially stable and to help me save up for my tuition fee next year.

A lot of friends on Facebook had put up statuses saying how good 2015 was for them.  It made me realize that my 2015 was awesome too.  More good things happened compared to the bad things.  I have travelled quite a bit, met new people, made new friends, laughed a lot, cried because of joy and God made me my own kind of supergirl with His help.

Praying that 2016 will be as good.  Praying that 2016 will keep us happy and healthy.  I also pray that 2016 will be more peaceful than 2015.  Wishing you all a very happy new year!

Peace & Love!

Other: Fan Account on meeting Vanness Wu

Hello beautiful earthlings!

This is probably the only blog post that I will have with no photos whatsoever.  I know it has been a while since my last post and I am here with a post that is nor related to my normal posts.

Like the title suggest, I met Vanness Wu!

I just saw him shopping at H&M in Dublin shopping the Balmain X H&M collection.  We exchanged a glance and it took me half a second to realize, oh my gosh it was Vanness Wu.  I walked back and excused myself then asked if he was Vanness Wu.  He nodded and I said I was a fan of his, he extended his hand and he shook my hand!  I was so starstruck that I did not have the guts to ask for a photo with him.  I became so shy because I did not want to bother him anymore and I just said to enjoy shopping and have a nice night.  I went into the elevator, shaking and texted my seastars and one of my closest friend, Merrusa!

Gosh, I was completely starstruck.  He is so handsome and so tall!  He was with friend and he was nice enough to smile to me too!

Today is just a great day!

That's it for now and I promise I will be good with my future posts that is way long overdue! Have an amazing weekend!

EsTrails: Kolambugan & Timoga, Philippines

Hello beautiful earthlings!

Kolambugan is my mom's hometown.  And whenever we are over there, we always go to this place called Timoga in Illigan City.

We took the barge from Ozamis to Mucas then our cousin took us home in a multi-cab.

This is the view outside the window/terrace of my cousins' house.  It is so refreshing to just breathe in the fresh, sea air.

We rented a large multi-cab to bring us to Timoga Springs.  It would have been difficult if regular tourists would go there unless they'd have connections near by.

We saw a lot of army vehicles going to Timoga from Kolambugan. My mom said that is could be rough around those area of Mindanaobut it is not as bad.

We see a lot of green scenery in Ireland but nothing can compare to this one where you'd see tall coconut trees and vast rice fields.

I was amazed to see carabaos (water buffalos) on the main road and it caused a bit of traffic!  This was definitely one of the signs screaming "Welcome to the Philippines".  The Irish equivalent of this is us driving in the countryside and the sheep would cause traffic! Haha

There are a couple of swimming pool areas in Timoga but we decided to go in El Lauriento Swimming Pool.  Entrance costed us about 100 PHP per person which was about less than €2.

We got there when the sun was already setting to avoid the harsh potential sunburn!

It was so beautiful!

My two siblings and cousin along with Steffi's boyfriend decided to go on a roadtrip to collect our other cousin who goes to college in the city.

The photo is blurry due to her excitement to run towards us and my excitement to see her.

And since we saw a Dunkin Donut store, we had to get donuts especially these munchkins! My personal faves are the cream puff ones and the orange ones!

When we got back, it was already dark and almost everyone in the family has changed to their dry clothed.  We immediately rushed to swim.

The next day, we headed really early to church and to our grandparents' grave. The sunrise looked so beautiful.

My cousin JM has four dogs and all of them get excited whenever they see him. One of his dog, Bruno, followed us to church! Well the dog followed him.  It was too cute.  I really wanted and still want a dog.  But maybe in the future.

It was so hot that we decided to buy ice-candy.  Ice-candy is a Filipino dessert with different flavours.  We got the fruits salad flavour.  Basically it is a fruit salad that is frozen in a small plastic.

here's our little troop in Kolambugan and some people are missing in this photo!
Watch my vlog here that inlcudes small clips in Kolambugan and Timoga!

That's it for now for this post! I'll see you in the next one.

EsTrails/ESurient: Food-tripping at Oroquieta City, Philippines

This is one of the scenery one could not always see in Ireland

Hello beautiful earthlings!

This post is dedicated on our foodie adventures in my dad's hometown in Oroquieta City.  My siblings and I lived for a year in this town for a year after living in Saudi Arabia and before going to Ireland.

One of the things that we always do whenever we are in the Philippines is to eat street foods.  Our parents don't like the idea of us eating street food since it is considered not the cleanest foods.

Other: Cousin's Wedding

Hello beautiful earthlings!

How have you all been?

A couple months ago, my cousin got married when we were in Philippines and I was her maid-of-honour.  My sisteres were bridesmaids and my brother was the best man.

This is my goddaughter who was one of the flower girls!

The happy couple finally wed.

Ate Norlyn and I photobombing the photo session of the bride and groom.

My sister Steffi and her boyfriend Mark did the whole garter thing but instead of a garter, it was a yellow ribbon.

The wedding's colour theme was rainbow.

This little lady had the same dress colour as me! Isn't she adorable?

Archie (of BigShots Styles and Events) is the wedding planner who also is my cousin's best friend.  It is so cute how they all helped out for my cousin's wedding.

My second degree cousin Athena with my aunt wearing green!

Aunt Jinky (we call her Mommy Jinky) is like another mom to me. So glad to be reunited with her because of the wedding.

Everyone got emotional as we saw our cousin walking down the aisle. I am wishing the couple happiness in their married life and healthy and happy pregnancy for my cousin!

I'll see you guys in the next post!

ESurient: Sarsá, Mall of Asia

Hello beautiful earthlings!

This is the first ESurient related post but it is nothing different from a food related post.  I decided to call all my food posts to ESurient.  It has ES in it and it means greedy or hungry so I think the word describes my foodie self and posts perfectly!

I am here to talk about this restaurant we ate in during our stay in Manila.  My mom told us to eat here since she saw it in a Filipino TV show while we were in Ireland called Kris TV and it was highly raved apparently.

Sarsa has a casual, comfortable ambiance which I liked a lot.  You could actually see their kitchen and the chefs preparing the dishes.

Their menu includes a brief introduction on who they are and what they serve.  At the bottom of the menu, it also explains what the word sarsa mean.  It means a sauce that makes the dish taste better.

The restaurant also has an outdoor seating to those who want to bask in the hot warm Manila air.  We just stayed inside where we knew we wouldn't be cranky since we were in a room with air conditioning.

The view is quite nice outside though. Across Sarsa and several restaurants around that floor, they face Manila Bay.

Inside the restaurant, they have a huge blackboard with their new dishes.  The price range of the restaurant is quite good.  I think it is quite affordable compared to the food pay over here in Ireland.

I did not expect much on their food since I really did not know what to expect but man! IT WAS FANTASTIC! I ordered two dishes: lechon manok salad (roast chicken salad) with calamansi (calamondin) dressing.  The dressing was so delicious and complemented the chicken really well!

We were a large group when we got there and only took a photo on our side of the table.

The other dish that I ordered was tuna sisig.  I don't know why I didn't take a photo of it. Maybe because I was too hungry to even take a single photo.

Remember how much I raved about the lechon manok salad couple paragraphs ago? Well the tuna sisig was even better! I have not tasted anything quite like it and it was SO DELICIOUS! I highly as in HIGHLY recommend t if ever you're in Manila/Mall of Asia.

I had to rave about the food in my Instagram.  Our friend Zandra mentioned that eating at Sarsa was one of the things she wanted to do in her bucketlist.  She mentioned the head chef of Sarsa, JP Anglo in the comments and he commented saying thank you!

I am not paid to say this or I'm just saying this because the chef said thanks to my photo in IG but I honestly love the food I had at this place and I would definitely come back whenever I am in Manila in the future.

Well, that's my ESurient post of the day.I hope you enjoyed this post and I hope that you are not reading this in the middle of the night hungry!

Subscribe to my blog for more ESurient/food updates! I'll see you in the next one.  Have a blessed week everyone!
