Food: Dall' Italia Pastabar
Hello beautiful earthlings!
About three weeks ago, our seastar Bianca of Cosmetique-Cosmos and I went to have lunch at this small pasta bar in the Temple Bar area. It is located in Merchant's Arch just across China Blue.
The pasta place is open 7 days a week and closes late in the evening at 10 PM which is great!
Outside their door, they have a stand with photo illustration of the food they serve. From that, we knew what we wanted to get which was the Pesto and Carbonara.
When we told our order, the server asked if we wanted short or long pasta. I got the long pasta for my pesto and Bianca got short pasta for her carbonara.
I saw the server take the pesto out of a container and started heating it up along with olive oil.
For Bianca's carbonara, he asked if she wanted egg or cream. She chose egg since she thought it would the healthier version between the two.
Bianca told me that the pasta they used was fresh since fresh pasta just needs to be dipped in hot water for just a few seconds unlike the pasta we would normally get from the groceries.
The place is quite small. It can only seat 4 to 6 people. We had lunch there at about 2 PM and there were people before us so it was quite crowded.
We waited for about 10 minutes for our food to be served.
The food was served in a take out/take away box. And the portion was good for just one person. I think we spent €7.90 for the carbonara and €6 for the pesto.
I quite enjoyed that the pasta were al dente. We love the smell of the pesto pasta it was wonderful. Even though the pesto pasta was delicious, the carbonara won my heart due to the bacon bits the adds flavour to the whole dish.
Dall' Italia has deals for the week that can get people their money's worth. We did not get this deal since we really did not want any soft drink.
We quite enjoyed the food that we got here. We would go back for the other stuff in their menu. It is affordable but not as affordable compared to the food joints my friends and I go to when we were starving and broke. It would have been really nice if they had student deals. But I figured that they get more tourists eating at their place than students. I'd still recommend this to those who enjoys a good pasta or to those who want to try something different than what they are used to.
I hope you guys are having a wonderful day!
Peace & Love!
